I don’t think students should get paid to go to school, because there is students out there who can’t afford to go to school and would love to get the chance to attend school.
First, kids need to realize that hard work pays off in the future, you will get a free education that will end up paying you in the end.
Secondly, their grades will start to drop dramatically once they get paid. Because they will say all I have to do is show up and I get money, why should I have to work?
Lastly but not least, if student’s get paid then they will expect to get paid for everything that they do in the future.
According to an article in Teen Ink magazines, Fryer’s study states that if you get good grades and even throw in a couple of extracurricular, you will get a scholarship, so your college will be paid for. Colleges aren’t cheap. So what would you rather have an Xbox that you paid for because of your grades, of a scholarship to college, get a great job when you’re older and get all the money you want?
