Today in America 65% of households have a pet according to www.iii.org. Imagine if your pet were used as an object for testing. Many may not realize that the everyday makeup brands they use such as big brands like Cover Girl, M.A.C cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, Maybelline, and Revlon test on animals.

About 100,000-200,000 animals suffer and die from animal testing. Companies are not required to test their products, so why do they continue to?

People believe it is very necessary because they need to try new ingredients, but if these brands have to be tested then why would it be necessary to even consider these ingredients if there is question whether they are safe for our use?

If you are a lover of animals and do not think animals deserve chemicals dripped in their eyes or forced down their throats, then visit websites like www.peta.com and find the best makeup brands that are cruelty-free.

I asked a few people if they feel animals should be tested on for makeup products and here is what they said:

Do you feel animals deserve to be tested on for makeup products?

“Absolutely not. It’s cruel treatment and it doesn’t make sense. The makeup is for humans so why test it on animals? Test the makeup on humans.”

“I strongly feel that animals shouldn’t be tested on because they are living creatures just like us, they have hearts just like us, so why should we mistreat them that way just for a makeup product?”

“No because its wrong. How would we like it if chemicals were injected into us? We do not recognize that animals have the same emotions, expressions, and feelings as humans do although they cant express them the same way, they still do. They are another form of us. If you wouldn’t do it to yourself then don’t put them through it.”
