Gay Straight Alliance or also known as GSA was announced as a group 3 years ago and since then has been adding new members, new events that’s hosted by the GSA members, and better ways to let people know who we are.

The club members meet every Tuesday and Thursday in room 7244 to discuss fundraising ideas, serious community issues or just to mingle with the new people in the group. Every last Thursday of the month they come together and watch LGBT movies, or discuss issues that’s happening within the community.   The club advisor is Mrs. Falvo.

GSA is an important part of the Sierra Linda because they offer many things that other groups don’t. They have safe place which is where you can go to the rooms that has the paper saying “safe place”. As a group they would like to get everyone to know who they are, and what we do to add on to Sierra Linda high school.

All year long you’ll be seeing events and fundraisers hosted by GSA. Most people don’t understand the hardest parts about trying to come out to your family or anyone you love that is either non acceptant of it, or just cared to be honest with yourself, that’s why this group is important to all the members.
