FCCLA Fashion Forward
Students keep up with new trends
October 28, 2016
For many students on campus when you hear FCCLA you normally think of the Culinary Arts program. However, there is also Fashion.
In a sit down interview on Thursday October 20th Ms. Schurr, FCCLA Fashion club advisory and teacher, shared her plans and thoughts about the FCCLA Fashion program.
In the Fashion class it is all about sewing at the moment. The students are learning about sewing equipment, the parts of a sewing machine, stitches, pleats, and seams. Once the fashion students get the hang of their technique, they will put their skills to the test for upcoming fashion events taking place.

What is the theme for the fashion show?
“We actually have a few themes. They are 90’s throwback, holidays, and children.”
Lastly, what is your goal for fashion this year?
” My goal is to teach kids about fashion. I want them to not only learn but have fun. I want to teach them of the opportunities in the fashion industry.”
