When people  think of Christmas and its pumpkin pie goodness, they think of presents and trees. The question is, why do we even put the trees up? Is there some specific reason we do it. Actually this tradition goes back all the way to the ancient Egyptians. The Ancient Egyptians would decorate their temples and homes with evergreen trees as a form or symbol of a celebration. The tree was to represent peace and prosperity. This is where the evergreen tradition of putting trees up started.
