After last year’s disappointing 3-9 season, the varsity boys are looking to improve. Sierra Linda picked up first year high school coach Shane Meyer previously coached at Puiallup middle school in Washington state.

“We have goals and we want to play aggressive, communicate, and make the playoffs” Meyers said.

If the rookie coach wants to have a successful season he needs to start off strong and win games early. Many of these players have great chemistry and can have the potential to win a championship.

The team is led by returning starters junior Robert D, senior Ronald C, and sophomore Juan R.

At the time of press the team is 1-0 with a win against Dysart. They are scheduled to play on Thursday December 11th against Desert Edge in their first home game of the season.
