On Monday January 5, 2015 Gilbert Christian high school faced off against Sierra Linda in the Bulldogs home court and defeated them 66-33

With the loss Sierra Linda’s section record falls down to an even 2-2, with wins against Scottsdale Christian Academy (77-63) and Mohave (71-36).  Their overall record now at 6-5 with wins against Copper Canyon and La Joya Community.

“I think we missed an opportunity, we played hard in the first quarter. Defensively we left them open to much on the three point line” said Coach Joshua Haagensen

The game was played well by both teams. Throughout most of the game Gilbert Christian had a lead ranging between 18-20 points. When the Bulldogs returned from the locker after halftime they ended that lead gaining ground to only trail behind the Knights by two points. Gilbert Christian quickly picked up their paced not letting the Bulldogs get the advantage.

The team was led by sophomore point guard Ahmire G. with 12 points and sophomore Chicago T. with 10 points.
