On December 15th the boys’ varsity soccer team lost to Varrado 1-0 in a well-played game.

‘’I don’t think we played with the intensity we needed to win.’’ said Coach Shane Meyer

At the end of the first half the score was 0-0. Sierra Linda’s defense battled hard with intensity not letting Verrado score.

Junior defense Benjamin D. commented on the team’s performance. ‘’We played as a team but it didn’t work out, though we tried hard on defense we weren’t able to close it out.’’

In the second half Verrado scored in the last 20 minutes of the game. Taking many shots the Bulldogs were not able to score to tie the game.
