Madden 15 Review

Is it worth getting?

Madden 15 Review

Daniel Albanese, Staff Writer

Madden 15 is a new video game that represents the NFL and allows users to virtually play the game of football. In the game, players can play casually or make their own player, coach or owner in connected franchise mode and take their player to the top. Madden Ultimate Team mode enables gamers to create their fantasy dream team and play online against others to win the Super Bowl.

Madden NFL 15 was released on August 24, 2014 and was created by EA Tiburon. 1.15 million copies were sold in its opening week.

This year’s Madden is totally worth buying. First, defense has been revamped. You can now take control of the defense like never before. In previous Maddens defense has always been the part of the game that players find boring. After undergoing this change user picks and sacks are more achievable. Some might argue that defense wins championships and with this game that statement becomes true!

On next generation consoles the graphics are phenomenal. Madden 15 sets the bar high for graphics on other sports games. Players and stadiums really look like their real life counter parts.

The game modes are very immersive. Players can spend hours and hours playing Connected Franchise Mode. It is so fun to play as yourself, or a favorite player. Madden Team Ultimate Mode brings fantasy football to another level. You start out with a mediocre team but as you progress you can make your team legendary. The only downside to this mode is that when you are a mediocre team you might have to play against top notch teams and some might argue that that is not fair.

One small feature added has a really big impact on the game. Madden 15 introduces a new play calling system. You have the decision to go with what the coach says, or what the rest of the Madden community says worked for them. Your statistics show up on the play so that you can see how well you have done on the play all-time.

Madden 15 brings a lot to the table. Here is what other players liked about the game.
