My Neighbor Totoro is a great 1988 Japanese animated film from director Hayao Miyazaki. He is also the director of other amazing animated films like Castle in the Sky, Howl’s Moving Castle and my favorite Spirited Away.

The movie is about the Kusakabe sisters moving into a new home knowing that their mother is in the hospital in critical condition. Throughout the movie you are going to feel bad for the sister’s after seeing how adorable and fun loving they are.

To keep the two sisters from feeling distress about their mother’s condition a mythical spirit named Totoro helps the sisters by showing them the bright side of life. Totoro can only be seen by children.

My Neighbor Totoro is a great movie by Ghibli studio. It really brings out that inner little child out of any one that watches the movie.

I recommend it for anyone.
