The first female to coach in the National Football League

Jen Welter is the first female to coach in the National Football League. Brought in by head coach Bruce Arians on July 27, 2015, she spends her time on the staff coaching the linebackers for the Arizona Cardinals.

Coach Welter has been a player herself in the Indoor Football League as a running back for the Texas Revolution. Bruce Arians felt she was more than qualified to coach in the NFL. Cardinal fans are accepting her with open arms. She is earning her respect in the league.

Jen Welter is a name to be remembered. Coach Welter has opened up the doors and made it possible for other females to potentially become part of an NFL coaching staff in the future.

She will go down in history as the first female to ever be a part of an NFL coaching staff.
