The Bulldogs had a tough season with a record of 5-17 and 3-7 in their Section. Head coach, Jacob Ciesielczyk, had to bring up some underclassmen because of ineligible players. The underclassmen who stepped up from JV were Dominic Vasquez and Aries Almanzan, both Juniors and both playing outfield. The seniors for the 2016 season were: Luis Canales #7, Miguel Morales #21, Toshaun Thomas #6, and Dominic Ruelas #15.

“They did a really good job, they helped contribute to this team. Dominic really stepping up and getting the bat on the ball and Aries doing a good job fielding the ball. I feel good about going into next year,” said Coach Chinchilla about the underclassmen.

The Bulldogs had a big game against Copper Canyon on March 3rd, winning 6-1. They turned it around the last 5 games winning 4 of the 5 games against the big schools like Maricopa, who were 16-13 and 6-2 in their Section, in which they won 11-8.

“We started winning our games at the end of the year. We started playing as a team and playing to our full potential and got the wins,” said Dominik Vasquez about the season.
