On Tuesday December 8th the girls varsity basketball team played Sunnyslop high school in a home blow out non-conference game winning 68-20. The Lady Bulldogs are off to a great start looking to have another 30 win season. They have won their first 3 games all by blow out wins.

In the first quarter the Lady Bulldogs scored 33 points. The defense had an outstanding game by only allowing 9 points in the first half. Lady Bulldogs went into the locker-room leading  at half-time leading 44-9.

“Honestly coach has just been giving us goals (rebounds, steals, assist) to accomplish each game which helps us better in our games. So the more steals I would get could help give me more assist, and that just go’s well for the whole team in their stats as well. So as long as we all do our jobs we have no problem winning games.” said Jenay Bojorquez after having 12 steals in the game.

Coming out of half time the Lady Bulldogs let up  just a little on the defense of side of the ball.  Allowing the Viking offense to score 11 points in the second half. The fast up tempo offense of the Bulldogs slowed down in the second half. The team only scored 24 points.

The big time threat Janae Gonzales had another big night scoring 26 points which helped lead the Lady Bulldogs to victory. Other offensive threats were Raenesha Willis (10) Raenesha Willis (8) Lonntiay Wiiliams (8) Selena Holguin (8).
