Be The Change Club
Groups focus on real world issues

There is a club on campus that is all about making people more social and making communication to change differences between people. The name is Be The Change Club. The purpose of the club is to make people more social and happy with who they are to stand up against negativity.
Activities they do are involved with being social with the community. Next semester they plan to work on something against sexual assault awareness month. They also want to work on making a document and getting it signed across the valley against our newest elected President Donald Trump. All activities are made to be social and meeting new people as well as making new friends while making a difference.
They club meets every Thursday after school at 2:20 p.m.. Be The Change Club has a total of 15 members on routinely and have had up to 30 members on certain meetings. If you are interested in joining the club go to one of the meetings and talk with Ms. Erickson in Room 7702. The club is open to everyone.
The club is currently working on cards that are made to make people be less negative about themselves and give out compliments to people outside their social group. A total of 150 cards were made.

The group is doing an activity where they write a compliment on a piece a paper taped on their back they go in a rows and give one to every person. This activity is to boost self-confidence on their self-esteem.

“I think it’s important to me because we all share the same beliefs and as well as creating new ideas.” said Jennifer Rivera ’18
