New Cheer Coaches

Welcome Coach Gunn & Coach Roman

Sierra Linda High School students welcome our new varsity coach, Coach Gunn and our junior varsity coach, Coach Roman. Mrs. Gunn is teaching SST classes and basic english skills and Ms. Roman is teaching Beginning Journalism/Newspaper, Photography and runs Yearbook. And here is a little more about them.

Q:What made you choose to be the cheer coach?

Coach Roman-“I wanted to help Coach Gunn and get more involved with school.”

Coach Gunn-“I cheered when I was in high school and thought its a good way to get involved.”

Q:What can we expect for this new season?

Coach Roman-“To make a lot of improvement and to be more orientated with the school with the school.”

Coach Gunn-“More involvement with other teams, more participation and precise routines.”

Q:Do you like teaching and coaching?

Coach Roman-“Yes. I like having some students as cheerleaders, its hard to manage but lots of fun.”

Coach Gunn-“I love it , it stressful at times, its the best way to get involved.”

Q:What do you like about cheer?

Coach Roman-“Its overall a team effort I like that everybody has their part.”

Coach Gunn-“I like Friday night football and love performing.”

Q:What are two words to describe yourself?

Coach Gunn-“Patient and Outgoing”

Coach Gunn-“Understanding and Fun Loving”

Q:Is this your first time coaching cheer?

Coach Roman-“Yes I was in cheer when I was ten but I played basketball more.”

Coach Gunn-“No I coached at Westview and I was a cheerleader at Westview too.”
