The Fish On Four Wheels

The whole plan for Toyota was to release Scion as a brand for young adults and teens for their first car. It never worked out, old people bought them because they were basic and affordable, so Toyota decided it was time for Scion to go. Even though Scion was on the edge of cancellation, they released the Scion iA. There was only one model year, one trim level, and two prices (manual transmissions were the only option). The Scion iA is a fish on four wheels. The front end is a spitting image of a baby catfish. The iA is a re-badged Mazda 2 and we do not get it in the United States, thankfully. The price starts at 15,700 USD, a little pricey for a catfish if you ask me. After the end of the Scion brand, Toyota decided to re-badge the iA again, this time as a 2017 Toyota Yaris iA. With the looks of the Scion iA it might as well run off fish food instead of fuel. I can say one thing good about the fuel drinking, air-breathing fish on wheels and that’s the good MPG EPA rating. It makes 33 city and 42 highway. So, unless you are an ichthyologist, you should steer clear of this vehicle.
