Dawg Pound Newspaper

The newspaper staff is resposnible for the creation of the content for Dawg Pound News. The writers are responsible for writing stories, captions and headlines and for laying out the pages on the computer. The photographers are responsible for taking and printing all of the photographs for the publication. Staff members are dedicated and master at time-management.

The Sierra Linda High School Dawg Pound Media Journalism Department publishes the Dawg Pound Newspaper and the Chatos yearbook.

The Student online newspaper (www.dawgpoundnews.com) is published and updated daily. The newspaper production class staff meets 1st period and beginning yearbook meets 2nd period both in Room 634.

The Chatos yearbook is published in May and is 150 pages in length. The book is in all color and sales out yearly. Copies can be purchased at www.balfour.com. Yearbook production meets 3rd and Beginning Yearbook meets 6th hour in Room 634.

The entire departments operation funds are raised through advertisement, senior yearbook ads, and selling of school paraphernalia. All work is 100 percent student created.
