Students have great time at annual gala

Samantha Martinez, Staff Writer

This years prom was at the Childrens Museum in downtown Phoenix on Sat. April 18th. The SLHS juniors and seniors had a great time. The theme this year was “Forever Young”.

Over 200 people attended this annual school gala. The night included snacks, tons of dancing, and a jungle gym! The festivities started at 7 p.m. and went until 11 p.m. Party Rockers kept people moving all night.

Class of 2016 Advisor Ms. Franciotti said” It was an extremely successful event. The class of 2016 members were very excited to see everyone teachers and students having a great time.”   Ms. Franciotti‘s expectations were for the S.L. juniors and seniors to have fun and remember their time at S.L.

Ms. D Franciotti, STUGO Advisor, wanted to share that the reason she though it was such a success was that prom goers came with the right attitude and mindset.

The highlight was the crowning of the Prom King and Queen that was voted on by the S.L. students at the event. This years prom King and Queen was Anthony Hammond and girlfriend Wendy Tlaseca.Dance floor
