On September 15 the Varsity volleyball team played La Joya High School in an intense game losing their match 3 sets to 2. After winning the first 2 sets they fell apart after that and lost the next 2 sets and came back with everything they had but fell short in the end.

Coach Matians Diaz spoke on his team’s performance. ‘’You guys (the team) did your best and you guys worked hard.’’

‘’We played our best but after the 2 wins, we went downhill but by the time we came back, it was too late. But we played an honest and good game.’’ said senior SL player Mayra Chavez.
