Dr. Renouard is back

Sierra Linda’s Assistant Principal of Athletics Dr. John Renouard came back to school a year after from serving as a U.S Marine Reserve in the Middle East. He will resume his duties as the schools activities and athletics director.
He took time out of his busy schedule to share his experience of traveling across the world.
What motivated you every day to keep moving forward?
“Accomplishing the mission and supporting the military professionally”
What thoughts went through your head while deployed?
“Every day finding something fascinating new and unique places”
What did you struggle most with when you were away?
“Missing my family”
What did you miss the most about Sierra Linda?
“I miss lots of things, spending time with everyone the staff, kids and teachers”
How did it affect your family with you being gone?
“The separation was hard for my family but skype made it easier”
