Winter Jam Hoopcoming Style
Students enjoy night of dancing and photos

On Saturday, January 30, Sierra Linda High School held a Hoopcoming dance hosted by the Student Government in the cafenasium from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. The theme of the dance was High School Musical, Mrs. Arviso was in charge of the dance. The DJ was Push Play. The crowd was light who danced a lot and had fun to all the latest jams. The Hoopcoming King and Queen winners were Eileen Claudio and Carlos Silva.

We spoke to some SL students who attended the Hoopcoming dance to hear their thoughts about it and how they felt.

Why is it so important to you that you attend these dances?
“I come to the dance to spend some fun time with my friends.”
Do you feel like when you attend dances you bond with your school mates?
“Yes, I feel like when I attend school dances I bond with my school mates. It’s a good way to meet up with my friends and hang out.”

“I come to dances because they are fun to attend and you get to mingle.”

“Yes, when I come to these dances I meet new people that I never knew came to my school.”

“I think its important to come to these dances because its a great way to meet new people and be involved in social activities a tour school.”

“I do find that you bond more because you get to see people out side of their school mood so you can see the party side of them.”
