Corey Drew Seager was Born on April 27, 1994 in Kannapolis,North Carolina. Seager began playing baseball on the Ogden Raptors of the Pioneer League, which is a minor league baseball league. Then he was promoted to the Great Lake Loons of Class A Midwest League(the same thing as a Pioneer League) in 2013.
And then promoted again August 3rd to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of Class A-Advanced California League and he played for the Glendale Desert Dogs in the Arizona Fall League. And was selected to play in the AFL Fall Stars Game. In 2014 he was selected for the mid-season California League All Stars team and was named the MVP for the California League for 2014.
On September 3, 2015 when the Los Angeles Dodgers called him up to the majors, that night he made his debut as the starting shortstop against the San Diego Padres. in 2016 he became the youngest player on the Los Angeles Dodgers since Gene Mauch in 1994.
He was named the National League Rookie of month of June and was selected to play to the National League All Stars Team he also participated in the 2016 Home Run Derby, the second best total for a Dodger player in derby history. He finished his rookie season with a .308 batting average, 26 home runs and 72 RBI in 157 games. Baseball America selected him for 2016 Rookie of the year.
