Recently it was announced that Janae Gonzales and Oscar Lueraharris were selected as Tolleson Union High School District Athletes of the month for Sierra Linda High School in December.

Both students and Athletes are well respected by teachers and staff deserve the honor. Janae G recently set the state of Arizona record for 3 point shots in a game. Oscar L has had a successful wrestling season.

Q.How proud are you to be one of the athletes of the month?

A.I am very proud because it came to a shock to me that all the work I did paid off.    

Q. What do like most about wrestling?

A. I like it because it’s an individual sport.

Q. What other activities do you do other than wrestling?

A. I play football in my free time.

Q. How proud are you to be one of the athletes of the month?

A. I am really proud because I’m a freshmen and it proves that working hard does pay off. 

Q. What do you like most about basketball?

A. Basketball takes me to a different world, but I really like winning.

Q. What other activities do you do other than basketball?

A.I hang out with my family, and friends.

Q. Who’s your favorite music artist?

A. I listen to everything besides country.
