Bulldogs lose homecoming game

On Friday September 16 the Bulldogs had a crazy homecoming game were their was a big e fan base in the stands with returning students coming to sport the Bulldogs. They lost the game 60-40 to the Glendale High School and they are the Cardinals.

In the first half of the game the Bulldogs stared out slow with QB Jalil Mitchell scoring the first touchdown of the night but followed by a missed field gold but Glendale came back to take the lead. Bulldogs defense could not stop Glendale’s offense and letting Glendale score 32-12 by the end of the first half.

“It was great to see the kids battle back and get into the game, but the loss is still disappointing. But the heart the kids showed was great to see, and there is some improvement being made, even though our record does not show it, and improvement is really what we are looking for right now.” said head coach Contreras about the half time adjustment

Bulldogs came out strong in the second half with QB Jalil Mitchell scoring 3 more touchdowns to make the score 47-40 with the defense stopping Glendale’s offence the whole 3ed quarter. The 4th quarter Bulldogs fell apart with not scoring any points and letting Glendale score 13 to make the final score 60-40.

“it felt great but I couldn’t have it without my team we came out second half and gave it our all, without my team and O line I wouldn’t have those 4 touchdowns.” said Junior Jalil Mitchell had to say about his big game
