On November 9th of 2017, the 2019 Chevy Corvette ZR1 was leaked on the front cover of “Car and Driver” magazine. GM responded by releasing a teaser video of the ZR1  and finalizing a true release date of November 12, 2017. The all new ZR1 was released to the public in Dubai. Releasing it in Dubai was a huge mistake, soley based on the fact that the Corvette is and always will be American made. The previous gen ZR1 (2005-2013), mad638 horsepower. GM decided that it was a good idea to put a hole in the hood in order for it’s buyers to see the engine, but it didn’t work out. YOU COULD ONLY SEE THE ENGINE COVER! This year Corvette attempted to fix this situation by adding a “U” shaped hood in order to fit the LT5 engine into the C7 body. Looks funny if you ask me. The ZR1 was originally released for the C3 Corvette and has held on strong for 4 generations and will continue to do so, based on this year’s ZR1. Below is a review from the legendary Doug Demuro.
