On Tuesday, September 16th  Student Government hosted their annual Blood Drive in the gym. Students and teachers alike signed up to donate blood in the hopes to save lives.

The purpose of the event was to give the teachers and students of Sierra Linda High School a chance to donate blood. STUGO member Andrea Vasconcelos chose to volunteer in the Blood Drive hoping to save lives.

Unfortunately they did not meet their goal of getting 64 pints donated. However, they successfully got 49 pints. Every person who donated helped save three lives.

“We didn’t meet our goal, but we still got pretty good results” said Vasconcelos.
