On September 17th the class of 2017 hosted the 1st annual Staff Talent Show in a packed cafeteria. The purpose was to raise funds for the class of 2017 and prom planning cost.

‘’I’m really happy with the turn out. There were a lot of adults and teachers. I’m just really excited with all the support we got putting this on.’’ Said math teacher and class of 2017 advisor, Stephanie Clark

The SL staff that performed were: Group dance from Ms. Helmer, Ms. Emelander,

Mr. Marshall, Ms. Luchsinger, Ms. Gilles, and Ms. Clark. Also, there was a guitar solo by

Mr. Tillotson, Coach Perez and the Coachettes (cheerleaders) sang a song acapella. And a crowd favorite was the electrifying lip synching battle of Ms. Brooks and Ms. Falvo.

There was also a student band called Meer that performed as special guest. Along with the girls basketball team performing a dance.

The winner of the staff talent show was Mrs. Perez

The teachers felt welcomed when they were up on stage as they were having fun and laughing with the crowd.

‘’When I first came in I thought it was going to be more of a hard core computation like really competitive… I made a mistake and I had to stop, but they cheered. Instead of them being silent they gave me support even though I messed up.’’ Said teacher-contest Brent Tillotson
