Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

The story originally by Suzanne Collins, Mockingjay: Part 2 came to theatres on Friday, November 20, 2015. The director of the movie is Francis Lawrence. The starting cost of the tickets for the movie is $7.50 and is 135 minutes long. So far, the movie has made 227.1 million dollars.

The movie begins with the conflict between Katniss Everdeen, the Mockingjay figure, versus President Snow, the cruel, ruthless leader of Panem. Katniss goes to every length to protect the districts. Her and her friends, including Peeta, Gale, and Finnick, leave District 13 to end the dispute in the Capital.

However, President Snow goes to any cost to make sure that they don’t make it. He strains to block her at every turn, so she doesn’t make it in.  She faces the loss of loved ones, the challenge of making things better for the districts. She is constantly struggling with how to keep the people in the districts, safe.

Why do you think that so many people enjoy reading books or watching movies, based on the dystopian fiction novels?

“I think the dystopian novels have become so popular for everybody because it is so detached from reality. It gives people a break from reality and see something different than the ‘happily ever after’, we are so used to.”

Why did you keep watching the movie? What was so intriguing about them?

“It was really close to the book. And the special effects were great!”

“She wants people to see how we treat one another. There’s always people who need something.”
